עיריית עכו הציבה הבוקר בטונדות בתחנת היסעים של חיילי צה"ל ברחוב הרצל בעיר.
מדובר ביוזמה של העירייה בלבד וזאת לאור האירועים האחרונים בירושלים ובמטרה למנוע פיגוע דריסה באזור שבו מרוכזים חיילים רבים.
ראש מינהל תפעול ואכיפה בעיריית עכו, יניב אשור: "החלטנו להציב את הבטונדות מתוך דאגה לשלומם של חיילי צה"ל והמשתמשים בתחנת ההסעה. מדובר בהחלטה מקומית שלנו בעקבות האירועים האחרונים בירושלים ובגוש עציון".
